The Snake
I’m the snake…vicious but lowly
Lowly, because I don’t roar like the lion
I’m not huge and threatening like an elephant
Not fast enough, not manipulative enough
I just slither and hide, camouflage with the grass, the leaves or maybe just old bark
My venom is well concealed, I have hidden fangs
I’m lowly, so you don’t see me, I’m silent so you don’t hear me
I don’t hunt you down, I don’t trample you
But still you fear me, yes I’m sure you fear fear me
Cos when you corner me, you know I’ll strike
And that will be your end
