Paralysis

Location

Still,

the view’s rosy,

blood yellow,

the eyes forget

other landscapes, screams,

flames ride the empty

branches unprepared

roar

the skin cracks

the birds

faithful

sing for the giant

and then forget

to run away behind nothing

much like

a window

at the fire’s mercy

how to

survive open

to so much beauty.
