Dear Lake at the edge of my room,

The rain this morning is almost imperceptible under this cozy blanket, but then, your performance. Dips, dops, splurts, millions of tiny circlets, seemingly unrehearsed, but perfectly executed. I silently applaud the bubbles and ripples and choreography from still to gentle striations then layered currents. Bravo to your accompaniment of bird songs and the syncopated cadence of drop reception whispers. Would you share your secret? How do you shine and shimmer using only a gray cloud diffusion of light? Not often do I get front row seats on a Wednesday morning. Perhaps I should consider, why not?
